Design Finalized, Site Plan Approved as Construction Progresses at 3000 Skyline Dallas.

DALLAS -- Construction at 3000 Skyline Dallas is progressing on schedule, according to the project's developers. The 770,000-square-foot data center development will be one of the nation's largest and most powerful data centers, a 100 million watt facility when completed.

Located nine miles east of the Dallas CBD, the site plan has been approved by the City of Mesquite. Construction on the initial phase has begun and is slated to be completed in the first quarter of 2010.

"All of the planned infrastructure improvements are proceeding on schedule," said John Patterson, principal of CAPSTAR Commercial Real Estate Services, a partner in the development of 3000 Skyline Dallas. "Eighteen months of planning, engineering and design have gone into the development, enabling 3000 Skyline Dallas to be the most robust and reliable powered shell in the U.S. We have had total cooperation from the City of Mesquite and Oncor, who will deliver 100 million volt amps (MVA) to the building."

A replated site has also been completed which will allow for an additional 100 MVA to an adjacent 40-acre greenfield site.

CAPSTAR is joined in the development by the Cambay Group of Walnut Creek, CA. The architectural firm of RTKL has designed the facility and the firm of Thornton Tomasetti is providing structural engineering consulting. Upon delivery, the LEED-designed building will provide a robust facility meeting TIA 942 design standards for Tier III data centers, reliable electric power up to 100 million MVA with redundant feeder circuits and scalable data center spaces divisible from 45,000 square feet to 770,000 square feet.
