The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on Monday Monday: see week.  that it has concluded its investigation of Desert Winds Entertainment, known for the past two years as SunnComm SunnComm International Inc. is a company that markets the MediaMax software package, which sold as a form of copy protection for compact discs. The consent and judgment was settled against the company and two former officers/stockholders of the corporation. All alleged infractions were settled through a consent decree A settlement of a lawsuit or criminal case in which a person or company agrees to take specific actions without admitting fault or guilt for the situation that led to the lawsuit.

A consent decree is a settlement that is contained in a court order.
. All alleged infractions occurred prior to SunnComm's current management joining the company and changing the company's name from Desert Winds Entertainment to SunnComm Inc.

The company's new management jettisoned all previous Desert Winds' businesses and subsequently purchased patent applications designed to protect digital compact discs and files. The company then developed and marketed those products in support of its new business model.

There were no fines levied against SunnComm or any of it current management for the actions of its two previous controlling shareholders. The former officers are no longer involved with the company.

Peter H. Jacobs, SunnComm's president said, "This marks a great time for SunnComm to complete its audit and re-file its Form 10."

Upon the effective date of a Form 10, the company will transition to a fully reporting Section 12-G status and will apply for listing on the Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board (OTC BB).

Jacobs continued, "SunnComm needs to evolve its corporate structure to keep pace with its growing technology development if it is to retain its leadership position in optical media enhancement and content protection."
