PROCEDURE:

Solubilize propylene glycol in phase A water.
Disperse hydroxyethylcellulose in PG/water
solution with mixing, while heating A to 70-75[degrees]C.
Combine and heat phase B items to 75-80[degrees]C
with mixing. Add B to A with mixing. Cool
AB with mixing to 50[degrees]C and add Phase C to AB.
Combine D items; mix until a clear solution is
obtained. Cool ABC with mixing to 40[degrees]C. Add D
to ABC; continue mixing until 35[degrees]C is reached.

Charge materials into water with agitation in
order listed. Adjust pH to 6-6.5. Add fragrance,
extracts/oils such as aloe vera, chamomile and
jojoba, and Maguard H-55. Adjust viscosity
with sodium chloride.

PROCEDURE:
Prepare the pigment powder master batch
according to the instructions in formulation
00617. Combine phase A and phase B in a covered
vessel and mix with high speed dispersing
action until all the powders are uniform. For
larger quantities, use nitrogen gas to make the
head space of the mixer inert as a safety precaution.
To the main mixer vessel, add the
ingredients of phase C and heat with mixing to
45[degrees]C, or until the cocoa butter is melted and the
ingredients are uniform. Add the combined
phases A and B to the mixer in increments.
Good scraping and high-speed dispersing
action is recommended. Add fragrance.

PROCEDURE:
Weigh deionized water into vessel large
enough to provide adequate mixing while
preparing batch. Turn mixer on high enough to
create a vortex in the water. Sift carbomer into
the water's vortex. Allow product to mix for 20-30
minutes or until carbomer is completely
hydrated in the water (no lumps). Heat to 7075[degrees]C.
Slowly add polycrylate 14 to the mixing
vessel. Mix for approximately five minutes.
Continue adding the remaining ingredients
from phase A into the first mixing vessel.
Combine stearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol in a
separate vessel. Heat slowly to liquefy (70-75[degrees]C).
Once the ingredients in phase B have
liquified, slowly add phase B into phase A. The
materials in phase A should be approx, the
same temperature as the liquefied materials
from phase B (70-75[degrees]C). Allow the product to
mix for approx, five minutes. If solidified flakes
are visible, continue mixing for 10-15 minutes.
Remove heat. Before products cool, neutralize
to pH 6.8-7.2 using aminomethyl propanol.
When mixing vessel is below 40[degrees]C, add phase
D, mix for 10-25 minutes. Cool to room temperature
prior to packaging.
