Descartes Obtains Permanent Injunctions Against Celarix, Company Founder and Certain Management Team Members.

:DSG), a trusted provider of logistics solutions, today announced that the Company has reached a settlement in its legal proceedings against Celarix, Inc. and several of its employees. Under the terms of the settlement, Descartes has obtained permanent injunctions against Celarix and several of its senior management team, including Celarix's former CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and founder, its chief technology officer and its vice president of professional services, who is a former Descartes employee. Celarix has also made a cash payment to Descartes. In addition, Celarix terminated another former Descartes employee during the course of the litigation An action brought in court to enforce a particular right. The act or process of bringing a lawsuit in and of itself; a judicial contest; any dispute.

Descartes' chairman and co-chief executive officer, Peter Schwartz, said: "We take the protection of our intellectual property and our contractual relations seriously and where necessary we will take decisive action to protect ourselves against what we believe to be wrongful conduct. We have done that in this instance and are satisfied with the result."
