Derwent acquires German IP publisher; starts new service on nanotechnology.


Patent and scientific information provider Derwent Information (London), also a unit of Thomson Corp., has acquired Wila Verlag GmbH (Munich, Ger.), a supplier of information services See Information Systems.  supporting the management of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks and industrial designs. No terms were given.

Wila Verlag, which publishes its patent, trademark and design products primarily for the German-speaking market, produces customized IT solutions, Internet-based information systems for medium-sized companies, and conventional publishing products. The company had 2001 revenues of EUR EUR
