The Neverfail Group (Neverfail), a provider of high availability Also called "RAS" (reliability, availability, serviceability) or "fault resilient," it refers to a multiprocessing system that can quickly recover from a failure. There may be a minute or two of downtime while one system switches over to another, but processing will continue.  and disaster recovery solutions, announced on Wednesday (16 August) that Derwent Shared Services, a provider of shared services to UK Primary Care Trusts and Health Authorities, has implemented Neverfail for Exchange to protect its e-mail systems against downtime.

Derwent Shared Services is said to support over 100 organisations in the UK and up to 7,000 National Health Service employees rely on the e-mail services provided by its Information Management and IT department.

According to the company, Neverfail for Exchange guarantees that all users remain connected to their e-mail by providing an automatic switch-over to a secondary server. If any issue affects the primary server, users are transferred to the secondary system.

No financial details were disclosed.
