Department of Homeland Security launches "Listo Negocios".
On June 8, 2005, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in partnership with the Advertising Council, launched "Listo Negocios." This extension of the "Listo" campaign, which educates and empowers Spanish-speaking individuals to prepare for and respond to potential terrorist attacks and other emergencies, focuses on business preparedness. "Listo Negocios" will help Spanish-speaking owners and managers of small to medium-sized businesses prepare their employees, operations, and assets in the event of an emergency. "Listo Negocios" is the Spanish version of the Ready Business campaign, which Homeland Security unveiled in September 2004. The "Listo Negocios" Web site is designed to make emergency planning easier by providing businesses with practical steps and easy-to-use templates in Spanish to help them plan to stay in business, talk to their employees, and protect their investment.
