Department of Defense news release (Feb. 7, 2005): Chief of Naval Operations Environmental Award winners named.Twenty-eight winners have been selected in the 2004 Chief of Naval Operations Environmental Awards competition, sponsored by the CNO CNO - Chief of Naval Operations CNO - Cashew Nut Oil CNO - Chief Nursing Officer CNO - College of Nurses of Ontario CNO - Com/Net/Org (GTLDs) CNO - Community Nutrition Organizer (Bangladesh) CNO - Computer Network Operation(s) CNO - Cyanate (form of cyanide) Environmental Readiness Division. The annual program recognizes Navy individuals, teams, ships, and installations for their exceptional environmental stewardship. Competition categories include natural resources conservation, cultural resources management, environmental quality, pollution prevention, environmental restoration, and environmental planning. Awards will be presented May 3, 2005, at the U.S. Navy Memorial and Naval Heritage Center in Washington, D.C. It is an important communication, commercial, and agricultural center. It produces electric communications equipment and automobile parts.
