House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi has announced that she has recommended Philip E. Coyle III of Los Angeles to President Bush for nomination to the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC BRAC - Base Realignment And Closure (US DoD) BRAC - Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee BRAC - Bathymetric Recovery Area Chart BRAC - Biomedical Research Advisory Committee BRAC - Budget Rent A Car system BRAC - Building Regulations Advisory Committee) Commission. Coyle is a former assistant secretary of defense and director of operational test and evaluation in the Department of Defense from 1994 to 2001. He is an expert on missile defense systems and oversaw the testing and evaluation of more than 200 defense acquisition systems.
