Department of Defense Unique Identification Forum.

The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics, Unique Identification (UID) Program Office, has sponsored two UID Forums in 2006--Seattle, Wash., and Providence, R.I.--to provide practical guidance to military program managers and DoD contractors. These UID Forums provide practical guidance and help educate military and civilian program managers and DoD contractors, particularly small- to mid-sized contractors and all acquisition program managers, on how to achieve successful UID implementation as required by the DoD Policy Memoranda and the issuance of the Final UID DFARS Rule (dated April 22, 2005). The third forum will be held Sept. 12-13, 2006, in Dallas, Texas.
