Department of Defense News Release (April 13, 2007): flag officer announcements.
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the
president has made the following nominations:
Navy Capt. Robert J. Bianchi has been nominated for appointment to
the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Bianchi is currently serving as
chief of staff to the commander, Naval Inventory Control Point,
Philadelphia, Pa.
Navy Capt. Thomas C. Traaen has been nominated for appointment to
the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Traaen is currently serving as
deputy commander for logistics operations, Naval Supply Systems Command,
Mechanicsburg, Pa.
