Denver Marathon Adds Rocky Mountain Half Marathon to Race Portfolio.


Registration For Rocky Mountain Half Marathon A half marathon is a road running event of 21,097.5 meters, or 13 7/64 miles, about 13.1 miles. It is half the distance of a marathon and usually run on roads.  Opens January 29, 2008

DENVER -- The Denver Marathon The Denver Marathon is an annual marathon held in Denver, Colorado. It was first established in 2006, when nearly 1,200 people participated in the main marathon event. Additionally, over 1,700 took part in the half marathon that year. [TM], the largest marathon event in Colorado, today announced the acquisition of the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon[TM] to its growing cache of premier sporting events. With the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon scheduled for June 8 and the Denver Marathon scheduled for October 19, runners can start and finish the running season with two strong Colorado running events.

Registration for the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon opens Tuesday, January 29 online at www.rockymountainhalf.com. Registration for the Denver Marathon is already open and runners can register at www.denvermarathon.com. To showcase the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon to Denver Marathon runners, athletes who register for the Denver Marathon will receive a special discount code for $15 off the entry cost of the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon.
