The characterizations and predicaments are laughout-loud funny. Much of the action centers on the girls' attendance at a weekend music festival in middle of a fruit tree farm, a setting reminiscent of Woodstock, and their encounters with rock stars and other hangers-on as they sort out their feelings and responses to the boys who cross their paths. Girls on both sides of the Atlantic should enjoy the LBD's series of unfortunate and fortunate events.
