) Tuesday announced the first shipment of DSL routers to NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors. In Japan, it had the lion's share of the PC market until the late 1990s (see PC 98).

Dense-Pac was contracted to design, develop and manufacture the hardware for NEC's new DSL router and firewall.

The InfoSet(TM) Router is a data gateway that consists of a microprocessor controller, ADSL See DSL.
