Dennis Patrick Named President of AOL Wireless.

DULLES, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 2000

America Online, Inc. (NYSE:AOL) today announced the appointment of Dennis Patrick as President of AOL Wireless.

Mr. Patrick has been serving as Senior Advisor to Bob Pittman, President and Chief Operating Officer of America Online, Inc., on the Company's strategy for the delivery of content and services to wireless devices.

As President of AOL Wireless, reporting to Mr. Pittman, Mr. Patrick will be responsible for AOL's wireless strategy and operations, including new initiatives and partnerships.

Prior to joining America Online, Mr. Patrick was President and Chief Executive Officer of Doeg Hill Ventures LLC, a closely held venture capital company focused on early stage investments in wireless telecommunications business enterprises.

He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Milliwave LP, a broadband wireless local exchange telephone company, and Chief Executive Officer of Time Warner Telecommunications. In addition, Mr. Patrick is a former Commissioner and Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
