The Allscripts e-Detailing product, which was recently launched in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and is already in trial by several large U.S. pharmaceutical companies, uses the power of the web to provide professional detailing information to doctors on demand. Dendrite will also market e-Detailing internationally.

The agreement between Dendrite and AllScripts allows for the integration of this product into pharmaceutical manufacturers overall sales and marketing programs, using Dendrite's analytical services through their medical information destination portal, MD-Connect.com. This service will allow doctors to receive the e-Detail with individually selected content.

Using the integrated analytical services of Analytica, Dendrite and Allscripts will offer the American pharmaceutical industry the ability to identify specific geographies and target customers for e-Detailing exposure. Using Dendrite's customer records, content that is specific to each doctor can be selected. This will ensure e-Detailing content is based on known doctor prescribing practices, which will be integrated with traditional selling approaches. Analytica's capabilities will also provide Return On Investment (ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system. In the IT world, there are more ways to compute ROI than Carter has liver pills (and for those of you who never heard of that expression, it means a lot). ) analysis by geography and doctor for the introduction of e-Detailing.

The companies will jointly market the product in the United States. Dendrite has the exclusive license to market e-Detailing internationally. It is Dendrite's intention to launch the product in Europe and be capable of deployment on a multi-regional basis for its global pharmaceutical manufacturing customers before the end of the year.

"Allscripts and Dendrite have been working together for some time to launch this initiative," said John Bailye, Dendrite Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , "while e-Detailing is an emerging promotional vehicle, we see it as an extraordinarily important tool to enhance the message conveyed by the traditional sales representatives activities. Because of our ability to integrate so much data from separate pharmaceutical promotional activities, we will be able to extend the effectiveness of a detailer's message in the field by making it more relevant and specific to each individual doctor. Building on Dendrite's well established position in both Europe and Japan, we anticipate being able to bring the power of focused e-Detailing to the sales and promotional campaigns of our major pharmaceutical customers for deployment to all of their major markets during this year."

Glen Tullman, CEO of Allscripts noted, "We have been looking for Looking for
