With over 100 analysts and investors in attendance, Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , John Bailye, opened the conference with a discussion of industry trends and the resulting opportunities that are being created for Dendrite. Mr. Bailye highlighted several new product and service offerings. A new organization structure designed to support strengthening growth anticipated by these strategic initiatives was also announced.

George Robson George Robson (February 24, 1909 - September 2, 1946) was a Canadian racecar driver active in the 1940s. Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, Robson later moved to Ontario and finally to the U.S. in 1924. , Executive VP and CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  followed Mr. Bailye's presentation with an analysis of Dendrite's recent outstanding performance. He described a new facility expansion planned for April 2001 that will absorb some of the significant growth Dendrite is achieving. Mr. Robson also described a new technology access-licensing model that will be offered to the very largest prospective customers of Dendrite to further Dendrite's Global Reach Strategy. This model is expected to further enhance revenue predictably as well as increase overall total revenue as each new Technology Access Agreement is deployed.

Discussing financial results, Mr. Robson stated that the Company was currently comfortable with current 2000 full year revenue estimates, but indicated that some third quarter new business opportunities may conclude later than originally projected.

George Robson added, "Dendrite continues to have a path to work its way toward the range that analysts are estimating for third quarter revenue. As usual, there is still selling to be done." The company indicated that anywhere in the expected third quarter revenue range is expected to create earnings consistent with current estimates.

The Company also indicated there could be a modest upside to EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code as well as an optional preview image in TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI, the latter being an ASCII-only format.  in the fourth quarter of 1 cent - 2 cents.

The Company indicated that 2001 growth could be even higher than this years, reaching 28%-30%. "If we do really well in a couple of situations, our growth could be above the 28-30% growth goal, but we won't count on it until its won," said Mr. Robson. Operating margins should continue to increase next year, but given the investments in expanded management and facilities that have been announced, the increase will be moderate. Mr. Robson also estimated a slightly increased tax rate for fiscal 2001 if the Company exceeds targets. Rather than maintain a 36% rate, the tax rate could increase to 36-1/2% or 37% in 2001, and is likely to go up to this rate in fiscal 2002 if it doesn't occur in fiscal 2001. And finally, the Company is continuing its goal of keeping DSO See CSO.  below 65 days with consideration given for the seasonal pattern whereby 1st quarter DSO rises from year-end levels.
