Dendrite Holds Analysts and Investor Meeting; Details New Products & Services; Updates Financial Model; Raises Estimates; Announces 3-for-2 Split.


MORRISTOWN, NJ--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1999--

In a meeting yesterday with analysts and investors, Dendrite dendrite: see nervous system; synapse.  International, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS:DRTE DRTE Defence Research Telecommunications Establishment ) Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  John Bailye and fellow executives introduced new product and service offerings and updated the Company's existing business model.

The Company highlighted the Version 2 of its high end product ForcePharma, equipped with web-enabled features and internet integration capabilities, as well as Dendrite's distance learning initiative. Dendrite also announced the launch of PharmaRep.com, a progressive portal/extranet/intranet designed exclusively for pharmaceutical sales forces. The new offerings were presented last week at Dendrite's PharmaQuest global user conference to customers and partners.

After the presentation, Bailye noted, "These new offerings will increase the effectiveness of sales teams from major pharmaceutical companies and will provide their reps with innovative tools not seen previously. The introduction of these new products and services will be of great benefit to sales forces whose primary goals are to increase effectiveness, decrease time away from selling and therefore, boost performance."

At the meeting, the Company indicated that its current 1999 EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code as well as an optional preview image in TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI, the latter being an ASCII-only format.  expectation was $0.80 per share. Dendrite also indicated that its 1999 revenue is expected to be approximately $170 million. The Company further estimated revenue growth of 25% and EPS growth of 25%-30% for the calendar year 2000. The Company cautioned that these projected results are annual estimates and may vary on a quarterly basis both in 1999 and beyond.

Finally, Dendrite also announced that its Board of Directors has approved a three-for-two split, to be effected as a stock dividend. Shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 23, 1999 will receive one (1) additional share of the Company's common stock for every two (2) shares held on that date. The payment date for the stock dividend will be on October 7, 1999, and the common stock will begin trading post-split the day after the payment date. No action on the part of shareholders is required.
