The company was formed from the merger of Ortho Pharmaceutical and McNeil Pharmaceutical in 1993. , Inc., Ortho Biotech, Ortho Dermatological and Janssen Pharmaceutica Janssen Pharmaceutica, is a pharmaceutical company based in Beerse, Belgium, was established in 1953 by Dr. Paul Janssen.
