Revenues for the second quarter of 2003 were $1.8 million compared to $3.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2002. Revenues for the six months ended June 30, 2003 were $3.6 million compared to $6.1 million for the six months ended June 30, 2002. Most of the revenues for the second quarter of 2003 were from Dendreon's research collaboration with Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd. The net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2003 was $8.3 million, or $0.30 per share, compared to a net loss of $6.3 million, or $0.25 per share, for the quarter ended June 30, 2002. The net loss for the six months ended June 30, 2003 was $16.0 million, or $0.59 per share, compared to a net loss of $13.6 million, or $0.54 per share, for the six months ended June 30, 2002. Research and development expenses were $7.5 million for the second quarter of 2003 compared to $7.4 million for the same period in 2002. Research and development expenses were $14.5 million for the six months ended June 30, 2003 compared to $15.8 million for the six months ended June 30, 2002. Cash, cash equivalents and short-term and long-term investments as of June 30, 2003 totaled $68.2 million compared to $46.9 million as of December 31, 2002.
