Dendreon Corporation Announces Filing of Shelf Registration Statement.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2003

Dendreon Corporation (Nasdaq:DNDN) today announced that it has filed a shelf registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that, upon being declared effective by the SEC, will allow Dendreon to sell from time to time up to $125 million of common stock. The company does not have any present plans for an offering off of this shelf registration statement.

Dendreon Corporation is a biotechnology company developing targeted therapies for cancer. The company's lead investigational product candidate, Provenge(R), is a cancer immunotherapy Cancer immunotherapy is the use of the immune system to reject cancer.
