Demolition of old physical facilities has been completed and site preparation for new buildings is underway at Seaview Square Mall Seaview Square Mall is a defunct indoor shopping mall located in Ocean Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, that has been repurposed as a power center. , a 23-year old former enclosed regional mall in Monmouth County's Ocean Township Ocean Township may refer to either of two settlements in New Jersey:

The transformation of Seaview Square into a new power center is in full swing, says Tod Heller, a Starwood-Heller principal.

"With construction of the pads for the new buildings underway, we expect to be able to reopen the facility by spring, 2002."

The old Seaview Square had been fighting a losing battle with two larger and better known retail neighbors since it opened in 1977. When Stern's and a movie theater closed in 1996, most of the smaller retailers left for the other two malls, leaving Seaview largely vacant.
