Demographics, DARW & the ADAA: Dental Assistants Recognition Week: March 4-10, 2007.


We're seeing some encouraging signs that dental assisting, more and more, is a job that practitioners stay with, as opposed to the transitory TRANSITORY. That which lasts but a short time, as transitory facts that which may be laid in different places, as a transitory action.  status in which it is sometimes held.

But we all know that recognition really matters when it gets down to a personal level. That's one good reason to support Dental Assistant Recognition Week. It gives you the opportunity to toot your own horn with the institutional backing of the ADAA and the American Dental Association. It's an opportunity to draw attention to yourself and your fellow dental assistants and look for the recognition you have earned.

A welcome note of recognition from Bath & Body Works[R] that will be offering a special gift set made for the busy dental assistant in honor of DARW. Promotional postcards will be sent to dental offices across the country, and details will be included in your DARW kit.

ENTRY FORM INCLUDED IN THE KIT

When you order a kit, you will receive an entry form for the annual competition open to schools, dental assisting associations, dental practices, and other organizations such as dental associations, labs, and military installations. You can download this kit from the ADA website (go to dentalassistant.org and access ADA from our Links page) or order one from ADAA (see boxed information). All entries will be reviewed in The Dental Assistant, and trophies awarded to winning entries. There's recognition for everyone.

NEW THEME NEEDED

No theme was selected to replace the current "Delivering Excellence Throughout the World." A new theme for 2008 is being sought and everyone is encouraged to send in suggestions.
