 suggested that I was wrong not to vote for John Kerry Editing of this page by unregistered or newly registered users is currently disabled due to vandalism.  (Correspondence, October 8 and 22, 2004). Now, as a result of Kerry's defeat, it seems that Democrats are seriously reexamining their fundamentalism on Roe v. Wade Roe v. Wade, case decided in 1973 by the U.S. Supreme Court. Along with Doe v. Bolton, this decision legalized abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy.  [see William Byron William Byron may refer to:

Former Indiana representative Tim Roemer wants to be chair of the Democratic National Committee, and he has been encouranged by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, the newly appointed Senate minority leader. Pelosi is a stereotypical Dem, prochoice till death; but Reid and Roemer are prolife. That was my point: it took a defeat to move the party back toward inclusion of a prolife view. If every voter who cares about this issue had given Kerry a pass, this beginning of a change in the Democratic Party never would have happened, and it was really needed.
