Deluxe Digital High Definition Media Center Ships Blu-ray with Full Copy Protection Using DCA DiscTag Enabled Products.BURBANK, Calif. -- Doug Carson & Associates, Inc. (DCA (1) (Document Content Architecture) IBM file formats for text documents. DCA/RFT (Revisable-Form Text) is the primary format and can be edited. DCA's Viper was used for pre-mastering. Viper scans the incoming Blu-ray sources for AACS & BDCMF incompatibilities. Additionally, it creates a "Gold Reference" HCRC HCRC Human Communication Research Centre (University of Edinburgh) HCRC High Capacity Radio Concentrator HCRC Halton Community Rehabilitation Centre (Ontario, Canada) value tied to a unique marker on each Blu-ray layer. This HCRC value is used to later automatically verify the replica to the original content. AACS encryption was performed by DCA's Blazer AACS Workstation, which provides an extremely fast method for encrypting Blu-ray. All encryption is done 'in-place' within the image itself, eliminating the need for time-wasting copies of the image or files. Mastering & ROM Mark integration was done using DCA's MIS 8.5 Formatter for Blu-ray on the Sony PTM LBR. Verification of replicas was performed using the HCRC value on DCA's Viper. Eric Carson, product manager of DCA, Inc. says, "The DiscTag Enabled workflow gives producers, like Deluxe, a way to manufacture Blu-ray or HD DVD (High Definition DVD) A relatively short-lived high-capacity optical disc that holds four hours of high-definition video on a single-sided, single-layer 15GB disk. Sanctioned by the DVD Forum in 2003 and based on the Advanced Optical Disc (AOD) technology from Toshiba and with better results & ease of use than even standard DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc. DVD in full digital video disc or digital versatile disc Type of optical disc. The DVD represents the second generation of compact-disc (CD) technology. . Even a complex format like Blu-ray with its different modes of copy protection can be easily manufactured & verified automatically." Gregg Johnson, plant manager for Deluxe Digital, "DCA's DiscTag products give us a method of producing Blu-ray with no opportunity for user error. For a plant that runs at full capacity nearly 24 hours every day, these solutions make our life easier." The DiscTag Enabled workflow uses a unique marker on each layer as a key to retrieve a "Gold Reference" HCRC value and XML XML in full Extensible Markup Language. Markup language developed to be a simplified and more structural version of SGML. It incorporates features of HTML (e.g., hypertext linking), but is designed to overcome some of HTML's limitations. metadata from a network location and enable automatic physical testing with HCRC logical verification. The XML metadata contains customer, catalog, format type, and job report information for each application that touches the title. HCRC values provide verification of the replica against the original source data without the need for the original source to be present, while additionally reporting individual miscompare errors by sector and radius location.
