Deltek Increases Dominance of Project-Based ERP Marketplace with Acquisition of Leading Financial Management Software Firm Wind2.

HERNDON, Va. -- Deltek, the enterprise resource planning vendor of choice for project-based businesses, today announced the acquisition of Wind2 Software, Inc., a leading software firm serving project-driven professional services firms. Both firms share a focus on Architecture and Engineering (A/E) companies, as well as government contractors, IT services firms and management consultants. The acquisition will allow Deltek to strengthen its leadership role in the professional services market while adding approximately $10 million in revenues.

The acquisition will add more than 3,000 customers to Deltek's existing base of 8,000 clients, including such marquee names as Custom Research, Inc.; Apex Environmental, Inc; and MCW Consultants, Ltd. Deltek will also welcome Wind2's existing 85 employees from five locations, including a state-of-the-art training facility in Fort Collins, CO, and four branch offices throughout the United States and Canada. This acquisition will bring the total number of Deltek staff to more than 800 employees at 12 locations throughout the world. In addition, Wind2 will also bring eight business solutions providers to the Deltek channel network.

Deltek will continue to support and maintain all Wind2 products, including Wind2 FMS, a fully modular, Microsoft Office-compatible product used by more than 3,000 customers. Wind2 FMS will complement Deltek's broad product line of project-based solutions for professional services firms of all sizes, including Deltek Vision, Deltek GCS and Deltek Costpoint.
