Deltek Government Contracting Expert Rich Wilkinson to Speak at PMI-CPM 22nd Annual International Conference.

Who:    Rich Wilkinson, VP of Government Contracting at Deltek, will
        discuss "Earned Value Management for the Uninitiated", with
        industry leaders in project management.  Wilkinson has nearly
        30 years experience in the government contracting arena.  He
        spent eight years as a contracting officer with the Naval Air
        Systems Command Headquarters and more than 12 years in the
        controllership of government contractors ranging from General
        Physics Corporation to Atlantic Research Corporation and CSC.
        During this time, Wilkinson was responsible for selection and
        implementation of accounting systems as well as compliance
        monitoring and liaison with DCAA and DCMA.  In almost 10 years
        with Deltek, the leading provider of enterprise management
        software for project-focused organizations, Wilkinson has
        helped more than 100 companies select, install and deploy
        accounting systems to meet the unique requirements of today's
        government contracting environment.

What:   Wilkinson will explain the pros and cons of EVM: how and why
        it works, as well as its expected impact in today's industry.
        He will examine the recent developments in the government
        contracting industry to mandate use of EVM systems, including
        details of the mandates and the expected near-term effects of
        the regulatory changes.  He will also discuss the motivations
        associated with EVM on large projects and how they can put
        pressure on EVM measurements.  In addition, he will explain
        how knowing the origins of those pressures can help project
        managers neutralize or minimize them.  Wilkinson will
        illustrate that more and more firms are looking to EVM systems
        as their primary project management tool, and why using it
        wisely and accurately will be key to their prosperity.
