Deltec Launches New PC Communications Program.
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 2001
SIMS Deltec, Inc. (Deltec) has launched a new Batch Programming feature for its CADD-DIPLOMAT(R) PC Communications System designed to help reduce medication errors in post-op pain programs.
The Batch Programming feature of the CADD-DIPLOMAT(R) system allows clinicians to program and save pump settings for specific pump protocols on a PC and then download the protocols to CADD-Prizm(R) PCS II pumps. This reduces the chance for pump programming errors while maintaining a consistent, standardized infusion program. This also allows clinicians to feel secure knowing that they have programmed the pumps without errors, and less stressed knowing they can program the pumps quickly. In addition, the CADD-DIPLOMAT(R) system can also document each patient's pain control and their response to pain by downloading the information from each CADD-Prizm(R) PCS II pump, which can help clinicians verify their pain program is meeting Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) pain management standards.
This new product corresponds with Deltec's commitment to provide a high quality system of pain management products for post-op pain programs.
