Delta and Pine Land Company, Scott, Miss., has updated its familiar oval-shaped logo to a sleeker and more modern-looking icon to better reflect the organization's strong focus on developing and marketing new, high-yielding cotton varieties derived from novel genetics. The new icon will be prominent on bags of the new seed varieties that will be introduced for the 2003 season, as well as in the company's new advertising and public relations campaign to be launched this month. All field signs and company literature will also feature the new logo. The design coincides with the company's efforts to unite all three of its popular cottonseed brands--Deltapine, Paymaster and Sure-Grow--under the D&PL logo.
