Delta Air Lines Names Patrice Miles Vice President - Distribution Planning.


ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 1999--

Delta Air Lines has named Patrice G. Miles vice president - distribution planning. She reports to Vince Caminiti, senior vice president - sales and distribution.

Since 1995 Miles has been responsible for the strategy and implementation of Delta's E-commerce e-commerce, commerce conducted over the Internet, most often via the World Wide Web. E-commerce can apply to purchases made through the Web or to business-to-business activities such as inventory transfers.  initiatives. In addition to the Delta website (www.delta-air.com), She is responsible for developing agency and corporate programs for the traditional channels of distribution as well as for the Internet and emerging channels. Miles joined Delta in 1978 in its Reservations Sales group and has held a number of positions with increasing responsibilities within the Automation, Marketing and Sales areas. She was promoted to Director - Distribution Planning in 1997. Also in 1997, Miles was selected by her peers to serve a term on the Delta Board Council The Delta Board Council represents the non-contract employees of Delta Air Lines to executive management and the Board of Directors. The DBC was formed in 1996 and is currently comprised by one representative from each of Delta's major employee operating units: Airport Customer , representing the supervisory/administrative personnel group. The Council's role is to be a resource through which Delta people can share their knowledge, experience, and ideas with Delta's Board of Directors.

A native of Blytheville, AR, Miles is a graduate of Mary Baldwin College Mary Baldwin was ranked by US News & World Report as a top tier-master's level university in the South.

Mary Baldwin has the only full-fledged Health Care Administration program in the nation, and pre-professional programs in law, medicine, ministry, and ROTC.
