For consumers and small business customers who demand portable performance at an outstanding price, Dell (Nasdaq:DELL) today introduced two new notebook computers, the wireless-ready Inspiron(tm) 5100 and the Inspiron 1100.

Starting at $1,199(a) and $899 respectively, the two systems are powered by Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 and Celeron(R) processors up to 2.8Ghz(b), and include large 14.1-inch and optional 15-inch desktop class displays and multimedia features. The new Inspirons also deliver a new stylish look, sporting a new Moonlight Silver base accented by a Venice blue display cover.

"Consumers and small business professionals have validated the need for a notebook that goes easily from place to place, but includes all the features and performance of a desktop."

Designed for customers who need a powerful and flexible system, the Inspiron 5100 easily manages digital media like music, photos and movies, wireless computing and productivity applications.
