BEIJING -- Dell today unveiled two new Vostro laptops and two desktops designed specifically to meet the needs of small businesses, governments and educational institutions operating on limited budgets in the world's emerging economies.

The new Vostro laptops and desktops will be available through authorized channel partners, as well as direct from Dell in more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies. . The new Vostro products include two pre-configured laptops and two desktops. Additional Vostro products designed for emerging economies will be introduced in coming months. The new Vostro products being introduced today provide:

* Everyday Business Mobility - The Dell Vostro Dell Vostro is a line of computers aimed at small business users. Dell has re-branded their home and small business computer lines. The previous division was for home portables to be labeled Inspiron, and home desktop computers Dimension.  A860 laptop is an affordable 15.6-inch laptop equipped for handling everyday business tasks. This system is ideal for customers interested in transitioning from desktop to mobile computing Using a computing device while in transit. Mobile computing implies wireless transmission, but wireless transmission does not necessarily imply mobile computing. Fixed wireless applications use satellites, radio systems and lasers to transmit between permanent objects such as buildings . It offers an HD widescreen LCD with anti-glare coating, the choice of a variety of Intel([R]) processors from Celeron([R]) to Core[TM] 2 Duo and the choice of Ubuntu A popular Linux distribution that is noted for its ease of installation and use. * Entry-Level Productivity - The Dell Vostro A100 is a reliable, entry-level desktop designed for basic business productivity. The system comes standard with an Intel Atom([TM]) processor and Ubuntu([R]) Linux([R]) operating system operating system (OS)
