Micahel Harmon's SKATE (0375875166, $15.95) tells of siblings alone: Ian's been raising his brother without his mother's aid, and when trouble hits, Ian grabs Sammy and runs to the one relative they can think of us, across the state of Washington in winter. Linda Collision's STAR-CROSSED (0385833633, $16.95) tells of a proper British girl who embarks on an unexpected life of adventure when she stows away on a ship bound for Barbados to claim her estate. When she's discovered she becomes part of the ship's crew, finds romance in an unexpected place, and faces her future in a wild, engrossing ride through possibilities. These will be wonderful leisure reading choices for young adult collections.
