Dell's annual food drive culminated today with the donation of more than 200,000 pounds of non-perishable foods and 8,400 turkeys for distribution by the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB CAFB Charleston Air Force Base (South Carolina)

The food, along with more than 1,500 volunteer hours by Dell employees, helped earn the company the Group Volunteer of the Year Award from America's Second Harvest--The Nation's Food Bank Network, the nation's largest hunger relief organization and counts CAFB as a member of its network.

This food drive is part of Dell's global community involvement program, a worldwide effort to make a positive impact in the communities in which Dell employees work and live. More than 17,000 employees in 28 countries have volunteered time with 275 charities this year.
