Delighted Sikh pilgrims return back amid tumultuous thanks for excellent management of Besakhi festival.

LAHORE, April 20, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- More than 300 blissfully delighted and thankful Sikh pilgrims who concluded their Besakhi rituals have finally returned to their homeland, India. These Sikh pilgrims had arrived in Pakistan via a special train on 11th April through Wahga border, to pay their homage and attend rituals at their religious shrines at various places. Chairman Evacuee Trust Property, Syed Asif Hashmi and prominent Sikh dignitaries bade farewell to the departing pilgrims. The leader of Sikh community Sardar Swaran Singh and other Sikh dignitaries termed Pakistan quite revered for Sikhs, like Saudi Arabia was for Pakistan and rest of Ummah, and also expressed his heartfelt gratitude for all the arrangements made and preferred by Syed Asif Hashmi. The Sikh dignitary also berated Indian media for its false propagation of lesser Sikh pilgrims to attend their pilgrimage due to security reasons; which turned to be quite baseless; as security measures were no issue. besides other provided facilities were outstanding and excellently arranged, he maintained. The Sikh dignitaries said that they would brief Indian authorities about excellent and heart-warming reception and facilities accorded to them by Pakistani government. They said that such attitude reflected the amount of love and respect, masses of both nations had for each other, and all the differences were nothing but a part of International conspiracy to keep Pakistan and India at odds with each other. All the pilgrims also voiced happy slogans for Syed Asif Hashmi.
