Delight over ruling on childcare; IN BRIEF .TWO policewomen, who were told their childcare arrangements broke the law, spoke of their delight last night after Ed Balls said regulation of such agreements was to end. In a letter to Ofsted Ofsted Noun (in Britain) Office for Standards in Education: the body which assesses the educational standards of schools in England and Wales head Christine Gilbert, the Children's Secretary said he was "clear" that such situations "should not be a matter for regulation". Mr Balls also asked Ofsted "with immediate effect" to treat all current childcare arrangements between friends where no financial reward exists as "beyond regulated".
