Across the North-east, eight organisations have scooped a share of more than pounds 3.7m for projects that will improve efficiency and impact in the voluntary and community sector. Each project will work with a range of charities and voluntary groups to enhance how they operate in fields such as fundraising, finance and human resources. The funding comes from the Big Lottery Fund's BASIS (Building and Sustaining Infrastructure Support) programme. Voluntary groups throughout the Tees Valley area will have access to support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services thanks to a pounds 498,897 award to Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency's Quality in Infrastructure Support Services programme.
