Delaware offers recycling grants.The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) of the state of Delaware is the primary body concerned with the governance of public land, natural resources, and environmental regulations for the state. (DNREC DNREC Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control ), in cooperation with the Recycling Public Advisory Council (RPAC RPAC Recreational and Physical Activity Center (Ohio State University) RPAC Registered Physician Assistant - Certified RPAC Red PAS Auxiliary Controller ), is accepting applications for the Recycling Assistance Grant Program for fiscal year 2004. The program has $50,000 in matching grant matching grant Academia Non-peer-reviewed funding in which a commercial enterprise, foundation, or philanthropy, federal government, contributes a sum of money that 'matches' a financial contribution made by an institution, university or hospital. funding available to local governments and community organizations to help boost recycling. Grant recipients are required to provide 25 percent of total project funding Project Funding reflects the overall financial analysis and entails the analysis that is needed in order to get the financial means approved and funds made available to be able to perform the discipline of project management. in cash or in equivalent in-kind services. Recycling grant applicants may include: Delaware municipalities This is a List of Delaware Municipalities, including all local government entities incorporated by the State of Delaware. Incorporated Cities, Towns and Villages in Kent County Type Name Settled Inc. , schools, colleges, universities, civic and community associations and non-profits. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to establish cooperative partnerships with other parties, including private industry. DNREC will consider a variety of activities for funding, such as design, implementation or expansion of residential recycling and yard waste composting programs; curbside collection of recyclables; design and implementation of "Pay-As-You-Throw" programs; recycling outreach programs; and any other activity that reduces residential solid waste generation and disposal. Completed applications are due Jan. 31, 2004. Grant awards will be announced in February.
