Two out of three ain't bad.

A day after getting timely hitting but very little in the way of pitching or defense, the Emeralds used an outstanding start from Stevie Delabar and one of their best offensive innings INNINGS, estates. The Ems (12-14) did commit three errors, one fewer than the day before. But unlike Saturday, the Hawks (11-15) weren't able to turn them into runs.

`After the third inning, I was able to locate my fastball, and every other pitch became that much better,' Delabar said.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound right-hander had endured his worst outing of the season in his previous start, in which he allowed six runs on six hits in a loss to Vancouver.

`I was throwing too many pitches down the middle,' Delabar said. `My slider A block of material that holds the read/write head of a magnetic disk. See flying head. , my fastball, were all right down the middle.

`Today I was able to keep the ball down better and set up my pitches.'

Vazquez led off the bottom of the first with a home run for Eugene. The Ems made it 2-0 in the sixth thanks to three Boise errors, then exploded for six runs in the bottom of the seventh.

After Boise manufactured a run to make it 2-1, Brian Cavanaugh doubled to lead off the seventh for Eugene. Daryl Jones Daryl Jones (1955 - ), is a politician from Miami, Florida, United States. Jones was born in Jackson, Mississippi. Both parents were high school teachers. Early years

Vazquez then walked to load the bases before Mike Sansoe's two-run single made it 5-1. Two batters later, Nick Hundley hit his fifth homer of the season, a three-run blast to left.

Sansoe drove in the final run of the game with a bases-loaded single in the eighth.

The Ems have now won two of their last three games, following a six-game losing streak that dropped their record from 10-7 to 10-13.

`We had it going earlier this year, and then hit a slump,' Delabar said. `Hopefully this will get us going again.'
