Del Webb's Sun City Palm Desert Continues to Top Best Sellers List.

Sun City Palm Desert was again named the number one best-selling project in Southern California, a real estate research firm reported.

The Meyers Group of Corona, which publishes the "Best Selling Projects Index," a quarterly listing of the 50 top-selling new home communities in the region, ranked Del Webb's Sun City Palm Desert at the top of the list with 162 home sales in the first quarter of 2000.

Sunrise Company's Indian Ridge holds the number two spot with 107 sales, followed by Sabre Spring South by Pardee Construction in San Diego with 61 sales. The index includes new home developments in the six-county region of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties.

Sun City Palm Desert opened during the third quarter of 1992, and has achieved the number one ranking a total of 20 times, including 12 out of the last 13 quarters. Since opening, the community has made the top 50 list 30 out of 31 times.
