Deja vu all over again?


ONLY ONE MORE DAY AND it'll all be over. At least we hope it will.

Every four years we think the presidential races can't get any worse, and this year's is no exception. Both sides have resorted to personal attacks and scare tactics For the political strategy, see Tactical politics
Scare Tactics is a reality show on the Sci-Fi Channel which began airing April 2003. It last aired on January 1, 2006. It is produced by Hallock & Healey Entertainment. In Canada, it is broadcast on Razer.
 in a way that should embarrass all Americans.

Perhaps it's simply a reflection of a nation divided by increasingly partisan politics and the so-called "culture war." We're tired of the name-calling, the unfounded accusations, the almost childish tit-for-tat remarks that become sound bites for the evening news. "Dirty tricks dirty tricks

Democrats and Republicans alike already are geared up to file lawsuits claiming voter fraud or voter intimidation, depending on which way the votes goes.  citizens have registered by the droves. Decades of declining voter participation seem finally to be reversed. Millions of Americans are finally shouldering the basic duty of citizenship.

As a reminder, while Arkansas Business has a policy against endorsing candidates, we have endorsed two of the four ballot measures that are before voters this year. Proposed Amendment 1 to extend term limits and Proposed Amendment 2 to allow the legislature to approve the issuance of general obligation bonds to attract "super projects" are worthy of your vote.
