Degussa acquires CYRO Industries.
Degussa AG, Dusseldorf, Germany, has announced an agreement to
acquire Cytec Industries Cytec Industries is a specialty chemicals and materials technology company with pro-forma sales in 2004, including the Surface Specialties acquisition, of approximately $3.0 billion. Cytec is a result of its spin-off from American Cyanamid Company. Inc.'s 50% holding in CYRO Industries,
giving Degussa full ownership of the business. CYRO Industries was
established as a joint venture between Degussa and Cytec Industries in
1976. As a result of the transaction, Degussa's current
