Degussa acquires CYRO Industries.

Degussa AG, Dusseldorf, Germany, has announced an agreement to acquire Cytec Industries Inc.'s 50% holding in CYRO Industries, giving Degussa full ownership of the business. CYRO Industries was established as a joint venture between Degussa and Cytec Industries in 1976. As a result of the transaction, Degussa's current methacrylate business activities will be combined with CYRO to serve the Americas markets. CYRO, which manufactures and markets Acrylite[R] acrylic sheet and polymer products and methylmethacrylates, has four manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and is headquartered in Rockaway, NJ.
