Ducks nearing cutoff

in football ticket sales

Oregon is within 1,000 season tickets of again being forced to cut off sales, UO officials announced Thursday.

More than 38,700 season football tickets have been sold for the six-game home schedule. The Ducks set a record last year with 40,207 season tickets sold in the expanded Autzen Stadium, and average attendance for 2002 was 56,341, with the seating capacity listed at 54,000.

Season ticket-holders also hold first rights to any single-game tickets that are available, and UO officials said it was likely that games against Michigan on Sept. 20 and Oregon State on Nov. 22 will be sold out before individual game tickets go on sale to the general public July 28. Oregon's other home games are Nevada on Sept. 6, Washington State on Sept. 27, Stanford on Oct. 25 and California on Nov. 8.

Season reserved seats are $228, with adult general admission season tickets at $122 and children and senior GA season tickets $68. There are also a limited number of family plan packages that admit two adults and three children for $305. Tickets may be purchased at the Casanova Center ticket office or by calling 346-4461 or 1-800-WEBFOOT.
