Defence contractor adds Lincoln space.

It was completed in 1930. The architect was James Edwin Ruthvin Carpenter. It is 673 feet (205 meters) tall with 53 stories and built in neo-gothic style. .

The decision to lease additional space in the building, the site of EDO's headquarters, resulted from internal expansion.

EDO's ten-year lease is effective on August 1, 2004. The company, which has been headquartered in the building for many years, currently occupies over 18,000 square feet.

EDO, which was founded in 1925, employs 2,700 people. In 2003, Fortune Magazine included EDO on its list of the 100 fastest growing companies.

EDO's expansion closely follows York International's leasing of an entire floor in the building. Several other prominent companies will join the building's already prestigious tenant roster in the fall, including Pfizer and Sun Life Financial.

"It's clear that our massive capital improvement program, in combination with our long-term, financially-stable ownership and excellent location, is a magnet for quality tenants," comments Mr. Waterman.

Located at 60 East 42nd Street, directly across from Grand Central Terminal, the 55-story Lincoln Building is one of the most prestigious addresses in the Grand Central District.

It offers direct underground access to Grand Central Terminal as well as to the 4, 5, 6, 7 and Times Square shuttlesubway lines.
