Deep-mining research projects launched.


The Canadian Mining Research Organization (CAMIRO) will begin work on three research deep-mining projects aimed at reducing geological ge·ol·o·gy  
n. pl. ge·ol·o·gies
1. The scientific study of the origin, history, and structure of the earth.

2. The structure of a specific region of the earth's crust.

3. A book on geology.
, health and safety and economic risks associated with mining below 2,000 metres.

FedNor is contributing $250,000 to CAMIRO, which is administering the projects on behalf of the Deep Mining Research Consortium.

One project component will examine how greater air pressure at depth affects diesel emissions, and how to calibrate To adjust or bring into balance. Scanners, CRTs and similar peripherals may require periodic adjustment. Unlike digital devices, the electronic components within these analog devices may change from their original specification.
