With a recent wave of expansion, Kiwiberri, the frozen yogurt company, has cemented itself as the second-largest frozen yogurt company of the new breed, meaning two tart flavors and fresh-fruit toppings. Pinkberry Inc. currently has 20 locations.

ME & AC Corp.'s Kiwiberri opened its sixth location, in Koreatown, last month. There are plans for another 10 in the next few months. Those locations will be in Santa Monica Santa Monica (săn`tə mŏn`ĭkə), city (1990 pop. 86,905), Los Angeles co., S Calif., on Santa Monica Bay; inc. 1886. Tourism and retailing are important, and the city has motion-picture, biotechnology, and software industries.  and Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. . Kiwiberri's other L.A. locations are in West Los Angeles

The company has sought to make its business strong by spending less money on store design than its competitors. Kiwiberri expects to differentiate itself with its product's taste.
