Newgistics Inc., an innovative logistics provider for the new economy, today announced its VP of Marketing, Deena Byers, and VP of Sales, Brent Currier.

Byers brings a successful track record to Newgistics with more than 22 years of experience in the technology industry in all aspects of strategic marketing, brand development and product management. Currier joins Newgistics with over 17 years of sales experience in both business solutions and consumer-packaged goods.

Byers has held executive management positions in fast growing start-ups as well as global IT, computer software and hardware companies, including Pervasive Software, Gartner Group, J3 Learning, Apple Computer and Honeywell. Byers has successfully created and executed novel marketing strategies, which have increased revenues and market share.

As the VP of ERP Solutions for Gartner Group, a global IT analysis and measurement company, she consulted with Fortune 500 clients worldwide about their enterprise resource planning needs. Before Gartner Group, she was one of the core executive team members of the start-up company, J3 Learning, where she served as VP of Marketing and Operations and helped grow and position the company for acquisition by the Gartner Group.

Byers holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She has successfully completed Stanford University's Executive Business School Program.

He successfully restructured Corporate Express' sales organization around strategic national accounts and increased consumer awareness of key product lines.

Prior to joining Corporate Express, Currier held management positions at General Cigar Company, E.J. Brach, Polaroid and Procter & Gamble. In these positions, he was responsible for selling and trade marketing activities. He led the development of comprehensive customer partnership programs, successfully launched seven new brands, and implemented innovative customer service programs.

Currier attended the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance.
