At Pakex 2001 Decorative Sleeves will be demonstrating a wider range of sleeve label special effects then ever before, with the introduction of new-technology inks and tactile lacquers. In addition, following its acquisition in 2000 by ITW (Illinois Tool Works), Decorative Sleeves brings information of new worldwide production capabilities and will feature on their stand the stretch sleeving expertise of sister company ITW Auto-Sleeve.

As well as demonstrating the latest sleeves produced for customers across Europe, at Pakex 2001, Decorative Sleeves will be bringing news of expanded production capability. With manufacturing sites in Austria, the USA and Brazil, in addition to the UK, the company is now able to mirror the pan-European and international purchasing cultures of its clients, and the company team will be pleased to discuss all aspects of logistics and local supply.

Visitors can also explore the latest special effects achieved through new inks and lacquers. For the first time, packaging designers can reinforce brand values through both sight and touch by using new tactile lacquers to create specific surface textures. Examples of special effects such as metallic finishes and UV sensitive inks will also be featured.

Also at Pakex 2001, ITW Auto Sleeve will exhibit alongside their sister company for the first time. ITW is a major supplier of labels to the European beverage, mineral water and milk industries and will show a representative selection of their polyethylene stretch-sleeve labels decorating and promoting international and national brands.
