Decisionmark Corporation announced today that its digital television (DTV (Digital TeleVision) Transmitting TV using digital signals. ) digital programming information, making it the first and only household-level programming guide for DTV listings.

TitanTV.com was designed to assist consumers, broadcasters, computer and consumer electronics companies in the transition to DTV broadcasting by answering the "What channels?" question and promoting DTV acceptance. TitanTV.com provides a list of local digital channels that can be received at a consumer's exact household location, properly setting the viewing expectations of the consumer. The new enhancements further Decisionmark's efforts in providing consumers with digital broadcast information.

"Unless consumers understand that there is compelling digital content available to them, they are not going to invest in DTV reception devices," stated Jack Perry, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Decisionmark. "TitanTV.com now does a better job of reflecting digital content schedules as well as helping consumers with the digital-ready antenna selection process. This will give consumers the confidence to move forward with adopting DTV technology," he added.

Decisionmark has added another layer of detail to its "What channels?" information by providing household-level digital programming guides via data from TMS, a leading provider of print, on-air and online entertainment listings and editorial information to newspapers, cable, direct broadcast satellite and online media companies. TitanTV.com now contains daily digital programming guides in three-hour increments with brief descriptions of the program and rating information. TitanTV.com will not only inform consumers where they can watch digital programming, it will also show them exactly what they can watch.

Decisionmark has also included its Antenna Selector Technology (AST) on TitanTV.com. To receive digital programming over the air, consumers will need to have an antenna. Decisionmark's AST takes predicted signal strengths and recommends an appropriate off-air antenna for a particular household. This algorithm algorithm (ăl`gərĭth'əm) or algorism (–rĭz'əm) [for Al-Khowarizmi], a clearly defined procedure for obtaining the solution to a general type of problem, often numerical.  takes into account several factors including height of the house, number of televisions, roof or attic installation, along with the antenna specifications, to provide a reception rating for the stations the consumer is interested in receiving.

Decisionmark is promoting digital TV on the PC, via TitanTV.com, at the Intel Developer Forum, in conjunction with the newly established PC DTV Promoters PROMOTERS. Decisionmark is a founding member of the PC DTV Promoters Group, booth number 1040.

The Decisionmark display in BroadLogic's booth, number 635, demonstrates another functionality of the TitanTV technologies - TitanTV Communications Protocol Hardware and software standards that govern data transmission between computers. The term "protocol" is very generic and is used for hundreds of different communications methods. A protocol may define the packet structure of the data transmitted or the control commands that manage the  (T3CP). Philippe Cassereau, vice president, digital TV products for BroadLogic, sees the T3CP as an important element in BroadLogic's digital initiative, "Decisionmark's T3CP has allowed BroadLogic to offer its TerraCast(TM) DTA-100 customers a critical piece of information - what local digital channels they can receive when using our receiver at their location. The T3CP ensures that we accurately answer that question," he added.

The T3CP allows for the integration of "What channels?" information, digital programming and Antenna Selector Technology into partnering companies' web sites and installation programs. Partners can incorporate the TitanTV technologies and information into the look and feel of their own web sites, with the added benefit of retaining consumer traffic on their respective sites. T3CP assists retailers and manufacturers with providing crucial information to digital consumers at the point of sale and beyond.
