, today announced that Barton S. Foster has joined DecisionPoint as President, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and member of the Board of Directors.

In these roles, Foster replaces Yorgen Edholm who has resigned to pursue other interests.

Most recently, Foster served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Battery Ventures, helping the partnership identify and evaluate potential investments and advising Battery portfolio companies. Previously, Foster served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Informatica Corporation (INFA INFA International Federation of Aestheticians ) where he helped grow revenue from $60 to $200 million. In addition, Mr. Foster previously served as Vice President, Applications and Industry Marketing for Oracle Corporation (ORCL ORCL Oracle (stock symbol) ) where he was instrumental in growing Oracle's applications business revenue from $200 million to $900 million. Foster has also served in senior marketing, sales and business development roles for CrossWorlds Software and Connect Inc. Mr. Foster began his career as a strategy and information technology consultant for Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Mr. Foster holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University Stanford University, at Stanford, Calif.; coeducational; chartered 1885, opened 1891 as Leland Stanford Junior Univ.
